Playback

Direct playback and transcoding

MediaHarbour can request direct playback when the selected media is compatible. When necessary and available, Jellyfin can transcode media on the server.

Quality

Use the quality selector to control the requested streaming quality. Lower settings can help on slower networks but may cause Jellyfin to transcode.

Subtitles and audio

During playback, select available audio and subtitle tracks. Track availability comes from the media/server.

4K

MediaHarbour supports 4K-capable workflows, but successful playback depends on the codec, profile, container, server and Apple TV playback path. The site intentionally does not promise HDR or Dolby Vision compatibility.
